Dark Fire a novel written by Peggy Webb

Dark FireDark Fire by Peggy Webb

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

On the Nook this eBook has 411 pages. I gave this book 3 stars for its predictability. With that said while I was reading Sid Granger's story I found myself rooting for him to win the girl, even with all the mistakes he made.

In this modern-day Cyrano de Bergerac story, Sid Granger, a fighter pilot with the soul of a poet, thinks he’s too homely to woo and win exquisite cover model Rose Ann Jones. He agrees to use his poetry and music to woo her for his buddy, never expecting that, instead of falling for the buddy, Rose Ann will fall for Sid’s romantic soul. When Rose Ann discovers the charade and runs, Sid has to come to terms with his own self-image before he can make Rose Ann believe she is the only music that fills his heart.
