Dear Cupid
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Dear Cupid by Julie Ortolon was originally published by St. Martins press in 2001. It has now been released in eBook form. As many reviews have stated the story is predictable. But this is a heart warming story with well developed characters.

Mike takes one look at Kate in the airport and just knows she's the one. After talking and flirting with her he's even more sure. So how can he convince her?
Giving advice, now that's the easy part but following her own advice is a lot harder. Will Mike be able to help Kate believe in herself and love again ?

Awaken the Highland Warrior by Anita Clenney
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I decided to read this based on other reviews and I gotta say they were right. This was a good well written story. What could be better than a Highland Warrior. I will be looking for more books by this author.
Historian Bree Kirkland has always been in love with the past, but when she accidentally wakes an ancient Scottish warrior who's spent the past 150 years sleeping in her backyard, her present is suddenly fraught with danger. Faelan has awakened from the time vault ravenous--in more ways than one. He grieves for his lost family, wondering who sent the woman to wake him. If she's a demon, Faelan will have to kill her. If she's innocent, she's unleashed the gates of hell in her backyard. Either way they must rely on each other to save their future.

Blood in the Marsh by Ciana Stone
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This story is not the light, feel good kinda of romance. It is more suspense oriented. There is one scene that I felt was rather brutal and the description of the actions added nothing to the story.
The characters are well developed and thought out.
The journey begin in 1803, today it continues.
Lyra Seville has came home to St. Simons to relax and come to terms with the loss of her friend Lucius.
But not everyone in St. Simons are what they seem.
There will be many twist and turns that lead you to the conclusion of this story.

Highlander's Sword by Amanda Forester
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is a well written debut novel for Amanda Forester. The book is entertaining and full of adventure, at least for Lady Aila Graham. It seems that Padyn MacLaren has his hands full. The characters are interesting and the story moves at a good pace. if you like Scottish Highlander romances this is a good one. As of this posting Barnes & Noble have the eBook for .99 cents.
Set against the backdrop of the rugged Scottish Highlands and the tumultuous 14th century, Lady Aila Graham is destined for the convent until her brother's death leaves her an heiress and her father hastily arranges a marriage for her with a Highland warrior she's never met. Misunderstandings between the battle-hardened knight and his lady are exploited by their enemies and threaten the entire clan. Only by throwing caution to the winds and forging a powerful bond together can they rout a traitor and save their people and their love from destruction.

Gotcha by Christie Craig
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This is a well written book that I totally enjoyed. I have read other books by this author and will continue to do so.

That's why dating's off the menu. Macy is focused on putting herself through law school -- which means being the delivery girl for Papa's Pizza. But cheesier than her job is her pie-eyed brother, who's just recently escaped from prison to protect his new girlfriend. And hotter than Texas toast is the investigating detective. Grace by Deneane Clark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I enjoyed reading about Grace Ackerley, one of six sisters. These girls have a wonderful spirit about them and I look forward to reading Mercy's story.
SHE WOULDN’T: The institution of marriage held no attraction for Grace Ackerly. The world, she had noticed, expected nothing more from women than that they be submissive, demure brood mares, allowed absolutely no rights or even opinions of their own. And yet, at twenty, an age at which most of Society considered her well past her prime, she need only wait a little longer to be safe. No—she was fairly comfortable declaring—she would never marry, no matter the temptation set before her.
HE WOULD: With a flashing green gaze potently combining warmth, humor and seductive promise, Trevor Christian Caldwell was resisted by few women. When one factored in the earldom of Huntwick and his legendary charm, his conquests became all the more indubitable. But never had there been a woman he truly respected. Not until now. Here, in Pelthamshire, a spirited redhead forced a decision he had never before considered: He would marry Grace Ackerly, no matter what protestations, no matter what travails.
It was yet to be seen who would prevail. And how

Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I thought this was an entertaining read. The hero & heroine both had their flaws and their strengths.
They call him many names, but Angelic isn't one of them . . .
Sebastian Ballister, the notorious Marquess of Dain, is big, bad, and dangerous to know. No respectable woman would have anything to do with the "Bane and Blight of the Ballisters"—and he wants nothing to do with respectable women. He's determined to continue doing what he does best—sin and sin again—and all that's going swimmingly, thank you . . . until the day a shop door opens and she walks in.
She's too intelligent to fall for the worst man in the world . . .
Jessica Trent is a determined young woman, and she's going to drag her imbecile brother off the road to ruin, no matter what it takes. If saving him—and with him, her family and future—means taking on the devil himself, she won't back down. The trouble is, the devil in question is so shockingly irresistible, and the person who needs the most saving is—herself!
