The Hunt

The Hunt (Big Bad Wolf Series)The Hunt by Heather Killough-Walden

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I have read all the books in this series and loved them. They are hard to put down. It helps to read them in order so you have a better idea of who each character is. They are all available on Smashwords.com for all eReaders, Barnes and noble for Nook, Amazon for Kindle.

Byron Caige has been a prisoner for the last fifty years of his supernaturally long life. Just when he gives up hope of ever knowing the taste of freedom again, he is unwittingly rescued by the very same woman who only wants to see him dead. Katherine Dare - Kat - is smart, fast, strong and beautiful - but unfortunately she's a Hunter, and she's convinced that Byron murdered her father twenty years ago.

She's also Byron's dormant.

As supernatural war breaks out amongst the otherworldly of Earth and threatens the existence of entire races, Kat is faced with a terrible decision. Should she give up her cause and believe Caige when he professes his innocence? Or should she fight him and possibly avenge her father's taken life - even while she forfeits her own?

This is an easy fun book to read. I must admit The Murder Mystery Club had me smiling thru this story.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When I read this book I found myself smiling a number of times. The problems encountered when you try to hide a dead body ! This is a fun easy romance to read.

The fairy tale courtship did not turn into a happily-ever-after . . .

Not until her husband dropped dead, that is. He had been horrible enough to Christiana during their short marriage, and she was not going to allow the traditional period of mourning to ruin her sisters' debuts as well. So she decides to put him on ice and go on as if nothing's happened . . .

Until the real earl appears. Richard Fairgrave had every intention of confronting his villainous twin who had robbed him of his name and title . . . only to discover that he had died. Quietly assuming his identity, Richard must now deal with a maddening desire for his ravishing inherited "wife"— certainly a gold digger and possibly a murderess. And Christiana must deal with an unwanted new "husband" . . . and they both must figure out what to do before the ice melts!

This is a fun book that I enjoyed reading.

For sharp-tongued food critic Miranda Wake, the chance to spend a month in Adam Temple’s kitchen to write an exposé is a journalistic dream come true. Surely Miranda can find a way to cut the hotshot chef down to size once she learns what really goes on at his trendy Manhattan restaurant. But she never expected Adam to find out her most embarrassing secret: she has no idea how to cook.

Adam’s not about to have his reputation burned by a critic who doesn’t even know the difference between poaching and paring. He’ll just have to give the tempting redhead a few private lessons of his own—teaching her what it means to cook with passion…and doing more with his hands than simply preparing sumptuous food.

Lonely Millionaire

Lonely MillionaireLonely Millionaire by Carol Grace

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The edition I read was an eBook for Nook.

This is a light easy read. That tells the story of Mandy Clayton answering a personals ad from Lonely Millionaire. This was something that Mandy would never do, but she couldn't resist a dare from her sister. Now she finds herself falling in love with a man she has never met.

Acting the part of Lonely Millionaire Adam Gray was not interested in a mail order romance, but he was willing to write some love letters for his friend. Then he had to go check out the bride to be. So off he went to Mandy's Bed & Breakfast in a small California beach town.

But one look at Mandy and he knew he wanted her for himself.

Moonlight Road

Moonlight Road (Virgin River, #10)Moonlight Road by Robyn Carr

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Virgin River series by Robyn Carr is like a visit with family. It's nice to see what is going on in the town, and what new people you may meet along the way.

With her younger siblings settled and happy, Erin Foley has empty nest syndrome. At age thirty Five.

So she's hitting the pause button on her life and holing up in a secluded cabin near Virgin River. Erin is planning on getting to know herself... not some shaggy-haired mountain man.
In fact beneath his faded fatigues and bushy beard Aiden Riordan is a doctor, recharging for a summer after leaving the navy. He is intrigued by the pretty, slightly snotty refugee from the rat race. He'd love to get closer...if his scruffy exterior and crazy ex-wife don't hold his back.
