The Search by Nora Roberts

The SearchThe Search by Nora Roberts

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Before this, the last Nora Roberts book I read was the Bride Quartet series. (great series if you haven't read it ) I forgot how comfortable it can be to sink into a romantic suspense book by Nora Roberts.

The books heroine is Fiona who trains dogs and belongs to s search & rescue team, she is also a victim and survivor of a kidnapping. Now years later she is once again in the sights of a criminal mind.

The Hero is Simon a master carpenter who is a loner by choice. But when his mother delivers a new puppy to his home he is disparate to get help with this loveable terror Jaws.

As Fiona starts training both Simon & Jaws, Simon becomes tangled in helping Fiona stay ahead of the criminal mind tracking her.

Mercy Burns by Keri Arthur

Mercy Burns (Myth and Magic, #2)Mercy Burns by Keri Arthur

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Keri Arthur is a writer that I continue to read. I have read her books and enjoy them. Mercy Burns is the second book in the myth and magic series.

I did like this book but I didn't feel a connection to Mercy & Muerte. Maybe Muerte need to be developed a little more for me to connect with or I needed to feel more of an attraction between them, but I will look forward to the next in the series.

Mercy Burns is a reporter in the San Francisco area, but she is also half woman half dragon. Unable to shape shift but able to control fire energy unlike others. When Mercy's friend Rainey is killed while trying to uncover a story Mercy must now find the killer: to free Rainey's soul or she will become earth bound.

While on the run she encounters Muerte, a sexy stranger that she now must join forces with, but can he keep her alive long enough to fine the killer.

One Lucky Cowboy

One Lucky Cowboy (Lucky, #2)One Lucky Cowboy by Carolyn Brown

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book. There was humor, romance and some suspense. It was hard to put down when I wanted to see what Jane & Slade did next.

You see, Jane's fiance and her step father want the oil company that will be hers on her 25th birthday and will use any means to get it.

When Slade's aunt befriends Jane at the bus station and brings her home it makes Slade a very unhappy rancher.

I got this as a free ebook for Nook at Barnes & Noble.
